Facilitating Student Experiences
One of the cornerstones of Souled is that as hard as we work to build relationships with our students and help them grow, the virtual connection to a Souled coach does not take the place of in-person kiruv. There is nothing like sitting at a Shabbos table, attending an event on campus, or meeting with a mekarev or mekareves in person. Therefore, one of the most important focuses of Souled is facilitating these in-person kiruv opportunities.
It is important to report all student experiences that you facilitate. This helps us measure the impact we are having on students, as well as the performance of each coach. It also helps us understand what created strong impact, in order to plan and prioritize resources in the best way possible. To report an “experience”, simply choose “A kiruv experience I facilitated for my student” in the coach portal, and then choose the type of experience.
- You should include all kiruv experiences that you facilitate for your student, including events and trips that are being run by Souled.
- In order to encourage you to arrange experiences for your students, we are currently running a weekly raffle for $100. You earn one entry into the raffle for each experience you facilitate!
- The details of logging work time for time spent facilitating experiences can be found here.
- If you facilitate a student attending repeating experiences, for example going to a weekly class, you should report each attendance of the class as a separate experience.
- If you connect a student to a kiruv organization in her area, each time she attends an event hosted by that organization, you should report it as an experience.
