Staying Connected and Considerate: A Core Staff Responsibility
At Souled, teamwork thrives when every team member is informed, respectful, and reliable. As part of your professional responsibilities, staying engaged and communicating clearly is not optional, it’s an essential part of your role.
To ensure a smooth and supportive work environment, all staff are expected to:
1. Stay Engaged and Organized:
Keep yourself in the driver’s seat by checking your email and team Announcements chats daily, and keeping your Microsoft Outlook calendar fresh and up to date. This simple routine helps you stay on top of your commitments, arrive prepared for meetings, and confidently manage your time. Staying organized isn’t just a task—it’s your secret to navigating your workday with ease and professionalism.
2. Communicate Your Availability:
Life happens, and sometimes you can’t make a meeting. When that happens, take a moment to politely decline the Outlook invitation with a quick note explaining why. This small act helps your team adjust plans smoothly and shows your accountability and respect. If you ever want a hand mastering your schedule or tools, your manager and leadership team are always ready to support you—your success is their priority!
3. Utilize Staff Resources Proactively
Don’t miss out on the wealth of resources designed just for you! Familiarize yourself with our communication platforms, coach portal, and training modules to find what you need—whether it’s policies, documents, or helpful tips. Knowing where to look and how to use these tools empowers you to do your best work every day and feel confident in your decisions.
4. Participate in Team Activities:
Bring your energy and curiosity to supervision meetings with your coach manager, bi-monthly professioonal development sessions with the Director of Coaching, and our monthly team-wide training sessions—these are key opportunities to learn, grow, and deepen your skills. Prioritizing these gatherings helps you stay aligned with Souled's program goals and contributes to a stronger, more connected team. By actively engaging in these learning-focused meetings, you not only strengthen relationships but also fuel a positive and supportive community where everyone thrives. Let’s grow and succeed together!
5. Provide and Seek Feedback Openly:
Creating meaningful connections starts with open, honest, and kind communication. Embrace the opportunity to both give and receive feedback as a way to grow together. When you share your thoughts and ideas with respect and professionalism, you contribute to a culture of trust and continuous improvement. Don’t hesitate to voice your suggestions or raise concerns through the right channels (your Coach Manager or the Director of Coaching)—your input is valuable and helps the whole team thrive. Remember, feedback is a two-way street that fuels personal development and strengthens our collective success. Let’s keep the conversation positive, supportive, and forward-focused!
6. Maintain Transparent and Timely Communication
Keep the flow of information open and honest; it's the key to smooth teamwork! Beyond just showing up for meetings, make it a habit to update your supervisors promptly about any important news or challenges you’re facing. When communication happens in real time, it helps everyone stay aligned, avoid confusion, and work together effortlessly. Being upfront and timely shows respect for your team’s time and builds trust that keeps Souled moving forward.
7. Leverage Mentorship and Peer Support
Feeling stuck or looking for advice on a tricky student situation? Don’t hesitate to tap into the rich support network here at Souled. Your fellow team members, your Coach Manager, and the Director of Coaching are here to guide you, cheer you on, and share their wisdom. We believe growth happens best when we lift each other up. You’re never alone—reach out, ask questions, and lean on the community that wants to see you succeed every step of the way.
8. Respect Boundaries and Promote Work-Life Balance
Staying connected means being thoughtful about when and how we engage. It’s just as important to honor your personal time and space as it is to stay involved at work. Clearly communicate your availability and respect others' time outside of work hours. By doing this, you help create a balanced, healthy environment where everyone can recharge, feel valued, and bring their best selves to the team each day.
